HOT BOYS BATHHOUSE

Hot Boys Bathhouse was a late night comedy cabaret show created collaboratively by Ozzy Algar (UK), Jake Gibson (USA) and Peter Mathewson (Canada), who met at clown school L'Ecole Philippe Gaulier, with support from performers Johnny Jones and David Hoskin. It premiered at the White Rabbit in Bristol in July 2022, before going on to a month long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August of the same year, 1:30am every night at the Pear Tree.

Set in the Devil's bathhouse, 666 miles below New York City's Grand Central Station, staffed by thousands of hairless, androgynous 'Hot Boy' hosts, a maniacal -middle-manager (who isn't dead, just commutes to hell) and the big man himself, 'Chad' Diesel Von Hot. Patrons descend in the hell-evator to experience satanic steam, living hairballs, and the best variety acts the underworld has to offer.

International guests ranged from accordion players, to Tik Tok comedy stars, clowns, burlesque and drag kings.

The EndThe EndThe EndThe End is an 'audio-comic' created, written, illustrated by Ozzy Algar with production and music by Robin White AKA Polymers. It is an illustrated comic book designed to be read alongside an immersive radio play.

OZZY ALGAR IS INTIMIDATING

Ozzy Algar is Intimidating was a solo show which I created during my clown residency at Polish your Pistols in late 2019, a weekly performance night at The White Rabbit in Bristol, and then toured in early 2020. It was a clown show, using europop and techno tracks with poetry, exploring what it means to 'intimidate'.

I toured the show to Berlin, Bristol, Leeds and Hull.

Delirium Circus Arts and HALLI GALLI

Delirium Circus Arts and Halli Galli were two performance collectives I co-directed while living in Leeds from 2016-2019.

Halli Galli was a theatre collective creating Immersive club nights around Leeds, exploring interactive storytelling and theatre in non-theatre spaces.

Delirium was co-run by Ozzy Algar and Ze Sherpa, from 2017-2019 when it dissolved. We curated walkabout theatre and dance groups for touring club nights and festivals around the UK. We worked with events such as Boombox Circus, Good Life, Cirque Du Soul, Nozstock festival, Beatherder festival, and Boomtown Fair.
